Just got word: Paving starting right now at the King St. Grade Separation!

I was thinking the last photos looked like it was very close to ready for that. Thanks for the Waterloo Town Square photos. It’s looking very close to done also.

Hear hear on that crummy retaining wall on the northeast corner of Moore and King- but I would imagine it's very likely it will one day be removed.

I bet it's almost safe enough to hold one's breath for news about that McDonald's lot. Any day now.

The only hint of the exact work:

Installation of the overhead catenary system that powers the train on Charles, from Victoria to Benton. Intermittent restrictions (for approximately 10-15 minutes) at intersections are required. Paid duty police officers will be on-site to support these operations

Work to install the GRT bus shelters on Charles, from Victoria to Benton, and Duke, from Francis to Frederick, will continue through mid-June

On King St.?  Is it complete all the way to Northfield?  That's fantastic news!

I think it only goes to Conestogo.

It also paved from Conestogo Rd to Northfield, but it is paved on the western side of King St.  The Conestoga stop is of course on the eastern side.

There is signage indicating the side change, at least. Still a bit inconvenient.

Also worth mentioning: the path is paved, but the corners at Conestogo and the mall entrance still need concrete, so its usability is a bit limited just now.
