Good vaccination numbers.

BTW: If anyone got the AZ vaccine, the province is now allowing 8 weeks for your second dose. My 8 weeks is on June 19, so looks like I am close to my second dosing. I'd recommend not using the regional portal isn't great, it'll be much quicker to sign up with pharmacies or your family doctor.

Technically since we did drop down mid-May, this might be considered a 4th wave, since we have spiked enough on 7-day averages.

The rest of the province is doing very good though.

These numbers as well as the ones for porcupine are very very alarming

There are some reasonable explanations for Porcupine - it has had a lot of outbreaks in smaller communities, especially those along the James Bay coastline. Timmins, for example, doesn't have bad numbers. Porcupine isn't in stage 1 yet. Waterloo Region will likely go back to pre-stage 1 in a few days if numbers don't improve, and stay there for a few weeks.

But but but, everyone says that outbreaks can only happen in dense areas!

In all seriousness, I doubt they will revert the region until things are really in bad shape.

In other news, I heard a big cacophony from the Uptown Square around noon. I'm going to assume the plagots are at it again.

So I took my mom in for her second vaccination. You wouldn't believe who I ran into though, guiding people. Ken Seiling! He's still at it, and nice to see. I only spoke to him for a couple minutes. It was nice to see him out there.

Ontario overall continues to drop. Region of Waterloo continues to rise. Waterloo Region and Porcupine are the only two regions that would have been in the "Red" or "Grey" in the old system. Everyone else is Yellow or Green.

He is a real class act! I’ve had the opportunity to bump into him a couple of times and was fortunate enough to be able to thank him for his efforts on behalf of the LRT.
