What about the huge piece of land the city (or region) owns south (behind) the school of pharmacy? Surely that could be a large parking resource tucked out of sight and a short 50-100m walk to the station.
Forcing parking onto the (smallish) transit hub lands would probably result in what we are seeing everywhere which is 3-4 floors of structured parking above grade in order to get the density that makes the projects work.
