Look at the difference. We have one of the best court houses in the province. It exceeds our needs now.
As others have commented, there will be thousands of people using this service daily. What is proposed will be a financial liability. It will be outgrown in a decade or so and require massive money to rebuild on a site that already has a building.
I plan on writing my regional councilor with regards to the Region's lack of priority and focus on this project. As others have commented, these proposals are underwhelming at best. I encourage other members to write their councilors with their concerns.
I really don't see why this would be outgrown in a decade. It'll handle two tracks for GO (westbound and eastbound) and one track for VIA/whatever. There will normally be people waiting for at most two trains. I can't see any expansion in the number of tracks into Kitchener in the next 20 years or so. I don't see why this station design would not have the capacity to handle this, regardless of the GO frequency. Can you please elaborate why it would need to be torn down?
Why do you think this doesn't have sufficient priority? What is not getting done?
