I'd take Westjet ULCC over Jetlines for YKF in a heartbeat.  Why?  Westjet has funding, and can both start and sustain operations.

Of course, Jetlines has a different take on this.  According to CEO Stan Gadek:

"I do believe WestJet is going to try the ultra-low-cost carrier strategy, but I also believe they’re going to fail," he said. "They do not have the necessary cost for this to be successful, and they don’t have the culture in place to make it work."

I too would be happy if WestJet (or anyone for that matter) chose YKF for their ULCC.  They have served YKF for many years and they would know if YKF is the right place for them.
