It will continue to run. The article has more details.

There was a recent post wondering what was happening at the store front on King St between Water and Francis (former driving school) that is under renovation. It is going to be a juice and salad place.

Isn't it open already? I thought I saw a juice and salad place there last week, although maybe I'm thinking of a different location.

This is poignant for me. I'm not likely to go a juice and salad place (but, hey, I might), but it's just such a great development that a storefront on King housing a driving school would become a little restaurant.

That's somewhat peculiar, given it is right across the street from GoGo Mart, though it's hours are basically lunch-only, and just a bit down from Pure, which does salads and juice already.

Walked by again yesterday, not much that I can see in terms of renovations. The refrigerators and counter displays were also empty...!

Just imagine if this gets developed as well as a 2nd phase of the Breithaupt Block on their surface lot? That'd be quite nice.

There is a sign in the window of the former Niko Niko restaurant announcing that it will become an Amaya Indian restaurant. Nice addition to the Downtown dining scene, if it's good.

Sounds like http://www.amayarestaurant.com/ , a chain.

I used to work right by their Amaya Indian Room on Bayview in Toronto. I never went, but all my co-workers said it was very good.

Indeed it's the same Amaya, the logos match.

Big John's has amended their re-opening to November 4 as per a sign in the window...
