The article interviews Giuseppe Barranca as one of the business partners behind it, and he's also co-owner of Vita Lounge and Bistro where Fork & Cork used to be in Kitchener. It doesn't mention that he's been ticketed for his involvement in recent anti-lockdown rallies in Waterloo.

That would seem to be relevant information.

I'd like to know if the owner/operator of a restaurant would consider eating at has a record of intentionally, confidently and outspokenly violating public health regulations.

It's kind of really relevant even without a pandemic.

Indeed. Who are those public health inspectors to tell me I have to refrigerate my poultry? Salmonella is just Nature’s way of strengthening our immune systems!

And somebody irrational enough to do something at a rally that would lead to being ticketed (not just being there expressing their opinion) is probably irrational enough to get into a crazy dispute with a customer over a bill. Avoid.
