General Food, Dining and Nightlife News
The owners of Milton's have made a statement to the press:

https://kitchener.ctvnews.ca/owner-of-ki...-1.5664480

They essentially don't contradict the general story we've heard which is consistent with the statements in the video, that two people from the bar, went up to the guy and demanded he give them private papers, he asked who they were, and they threatened to assault him, and eventually made good on their threats by assaulting him.

What bugs me is the implicit assumption that the restaurant owners have, and frankly, that way too many commentors have, that you are permitted to assault someone if you believe they are in the wrong.

Assaulting someone is never allowed, under any circumstances other than in self defense as a proportional response to an immediate threat to one's safety.
