Circa 1877 (née Brick Brewery) | 20 fl | Complete
Does anyone have new pictures of Circa?

They just started the 8th floor of residences (above the podium). I will try to get a photo on my way home.

Here are some shots from all sides. They seem to be doing approximately 1 floor per week with the pre-cast methodology. It seems that the terrace level (top of podium) is the 6th floor, and the penthouse will be on the 19th floor, with the current floor in progress being the 13th (which is included in the numbering) . So 6.5 floors to go structurally, which puts topping out at early/mid-July. We'll have to see how accurate my estimate is.

Thanks! Circa looks a bit brutalist right now but I think that it will look much better when it is finished.

Thanks for the pictures.

Um,...I am not sure what to think... Right now it looks cold and ugly to me... Hopefully in the completed form it will look more inviting...

Still a lot of exterior treatment to be done, and a lot of glass to go in.

Ok,  good.  Because I like the concept of the construction method, however,  the finish as it stands right now,  not so much.

And not nice brutalist! Smile

Judging by the renders, all of the small square-like indentations in the podium will turn into windows

Thanks for the update. One floor a week has to be one of the faster paces. That's Toronto pace.

One the benefits of doing pre-cast is that it goes up almost as fast as the trucks can get it to the site.

The King St facade is turning out better than I expected, but the Caroline St facade is going to be butt ugly, I think.

What are the downsides?

Less customization; making a lot of unique panels drives up the cost. There's probably some other engineering/architectural limitations too.
