Because of the market conditions, they are actually building duo one at a time. They've only been selling one tower, and will focus on that until market improves and the launch the second duo tower
Oh, interesting! Thanks. I didn't know that, I just know what the projected construction/completion schedule of the project is supposed to be. However that's definitely going to be true and I keep forgetting that...that the looming global inflation+recession is really going to impact things for the next couple years. This could honestly signal the end of the construction boom in Waterloo Region for at least 5 years...could even be 8-10 until it fully rebounds and both companies and consumers have better finances. Hell even just getting simple materials like concrete is getting increasingly harder on everyone from small contractors to major companies like Vanmar (CBC ran an article on that today).
Either way if this is indeed the case and they're building the next set of towers one at a time - meaning the last 44 floor skyscraper will take even longer - then hopefully they at least put a bit of money into temporary infill for where the future projects will be so the street interaction will be a little more pleasing than 2x4s and construction walls.
