One of the conditions of the sale was that Perimeter sign a lease within 60 days or they won't buy. I doubt Perimeter would add that clause unless they had a tenant already lined up for the space. 60 days is a narrow window to find a tenant for such a large space.
There's an article in The Record about office space leasing, http://m.therecord.com/news-story/721353...loo-region , and it mentions "Shopify, EY and TextNow all completed deals that put their offices on or near the light rail transit line." Except, I don't remember any announcement of EY moving from their current Riverbend Dr location, and I can't find any mention of it by Googling. The article was based on talking to the owner of Perimeter, so it's exactly the kind of thing that might slip or get mentioned in passing.
Whether it's EY or not I still think the first part of my speculation holds, and we'll probably see an announcement soon on the tenant.
You may be right, but it's definitely not EY. They're moving to that new super-eco building in the R&T Park. See the article here.
