I heard that apparently Walmart fully owns its unit, separate from the mall. It seems they have little incentive to apply improvements.
That fits with what is shown on the plan. It looks like Walmart, plus an oddly-shaped portion of the parking lot, is a separate property. Then the “existing anchor” at the west end is similar, and the old Sears part similarly again, although in that case the property line appears to run down the middle of a corridor which is a bit strange. I wonder if Walmart is the only one not owned by the same owner as the mall?
As long as the birbs still have a prominent place. That’s what really matters.
