Just thought since the building is right behind those 2 houses, it's somewhat out of place. They don't blend in with he building (ie. Building built around them). They literally look like they block what would be a few balconies (Maybe they won't opt to build units right there)...but from other balconies one could jump on the roof. K-W, Even the core, is not THAT hard up for space, c'mon now.
Heritage preservation apart, the fact that they don't "blend in" is the best part of this development, imho. Otherwise, it would just be same old, same old (same new?). The preserved houses add a bit of interest to the streetscape.
