ION - Waterloo Region's Light Rail Transit
CBC (02-Nov-2017):
"Schmidt said the third LRT vehicle is expected to arrive at the end of November and the fourth in mid December."

CBC (07-Nov-2017):
"The 14th and last vehicle is well into production and the region is expecting it to be delivered in February."

Whether the 3rd vehicle to be delivered is 503 or 504 I am not sure that has been confirmed.
Everyone move to the back of the bus and we all get home faster.

Regional Council was told 504 would be delivered before 503.

CTV on the case.

So if 504 was supposed to be delivered first and they are using 503 in the showcase, why not ship 504?

That would be a fantastic question for the Region, I think!

Have all the LRV operators been hired yet? Do they work for Grandlinq or the region?

I think they will be employees of Keolis, one of the GrandLinq partners.

I have checked their website occasionally, but have never seen anything, but support and HR positions being posted.

They posted for an LRV Trainer on Indeed about 6 days ago

One LRT-related position that would be a Regional hire is fare inspectors. One of the few things Grandlinq isn't contracted to handle.

504 loaded on a flatbed, from the Facebook group.

You just stole KevinT's thunder. He's driving home right now - please let him post when he's back, and has the rest of his photos to share.

But yes, 504 is loaded and ready to ship. Eat that, naysayers!

I realize getting another working train is very exciting, but that seems a bit much.

The vehicle is still a full year late from the original schedule (December 2016) and it is still going miss the 5th moved deadline of November 2017.

Was referring specifically to those who were hung up on this Monday media event thing.

I called arrival at Lancaster yard on Dec 2nd. Not far off.

How long did it take to ship last time?
