Not sure, haven't seen a full removal up close yet. At least it would be easier to dig up than a tree stump, I presume.

My goodness is that ever a lot of space between the rails and the east side buildings in UpTown!

They must have heard all the pre-construction concerns about the sidewalks at the Kaufman Lofts (which, by the way, turned out to be miles wider than what was there before) and over-compensated. Big Grin Should be great for pedestrians - no complaints allowed, here!

It's a shame they went with stamped concrete instead of grass between the sidewalk and the road here.

My guess is grass on such a slope does poorly.

Could they have had less space and then room for bike lanes? Or is there just not enough space for that?

I thought so at first too but then realized that the grass itself does fine. The maintenance is a pain.
