Work is underway for a new place in the DFB spot formerly occupied by Cheeses Murphy.  I'm not sure what they'll offer - there is a popcorn machine set up on the counter.

That is what they'll offer; specialty popcorn.

Hopefully they can make it work, that spot's had a rough go at it.

Or perhaps it's supposed to be "Wildflower", but the sign installer mixed things up?

Walked by Wildfire, the new steakhouse in Uptown, where Baton Rouge was before and it had a soft opening on Monday night. Looked in, didn't look crowded.

Has it been noted that "B", in the former Imbibe space had its soft opening yesterday? I popped in this afternoon and thought both the space and the menu looked quite good.

Has there been any word at all about the plans for a "new Imbibe"?

Does anyone know what's happening with Quiznos subs  (at least in Waterloo region) there is only 2 locations left in the region (Hespler RD and Sportsworld) The remaining Waterloo locations closed earlier this year and I noticed the Sunrise shopping Centre location has also closed. I read that there bankrupt in the States but it wasn't going to affect Quiznos Canada.

The Casey's at the Sunrise shopping Centre is now a Kelsey's.

Pretty sure the Sportsworld one is closed too.

Kitchener is still on the potential to reopen list.  I'd imagine that would be the Sunrise one.

That's a photo of their liquor license application for 44 King St S, for those not on Facebook.
