This is good news! Did it look like the rest of the crane was ready to go up or are more segments still needed?

I believe so. Those tower's were much smoother than this project.

I've heard that Drewlo has tons of projects going on and only started this one because they had to to get the development charge exemption thing.  Apparently it's only a small crew for now but will pick up at some point once crews become available.

That makes sense. I think they have a significant presence in London and Sarnia too

they have some of the first floor walls going up on the Madison/king tower and the Cameron/Charles tower still has seemingly nothing going on. all of the first floor walls have gone up in the past week, they were moving tower crane segments around so they could get unload rebar and to get a cement truck in the right location.

Rest of the tower crane is likely going up today since they brought in a bigger crane. Yesterday they assembled the jib with the excavator and mobile crane. If it is going up I'll try to get some pictures.

Thank you for the update.  This is for the Madison tower?, do they have the crane parts for the Cameron tower?

they might have the crane parts for the cameron tower onsite because there looks to be to many pieces for just one tower but i could be wrong. but they are definitely putting the madison tower crane up.

first tower crane is going up it looks like it will be finished tomorrow. they took out the other crane base is there any reason for that? does it mean theirs only one tower crane for this site? the crane that they are using to erect the crane is a Terex Demag ac250-1. Honestly, when people were talking about there being TWO cranes here, I thought that was crazy.

I don't know much about construction projects of this size but this site seems a bit small to have two.

Idk. Garment St has 3. I know it's a bigger site but is it triple this?

I'm not sure that Garment is much larger, if at all, than this site.

Yet another mystery which remains unsolved. I'm convinced it's some sort of conspiracy theory and it's all linked to DTK and City Hall. Heads will spin when the bizarre truth is revealed. Until then...

if you calculate the size by the area of the buildings that are going in garment is only bigger by 150 square meters. site size garment is definitely bigger. if you do the math at garment it is one crane per 2833.338 square meters which would mean by the same ratio drewlo would need 2.94 tower cranes. so if drewlo is to be one big crane its boom would need to be about 80 meters long from a rough estimate based upon GIS mapping and google maps. that boom is honestly too long and they don't have enough pieces for a boom of that length unless they are bringing in more. so a second could be coming later just in a different spot. i will update tomorrow. this project has been done so far in such a illogical way that in no longer makes any sense.
