It was surprisingly close in Cambridge, and Kitchener South Hespeler is just a disaster, but I'm genuinely surprised by Kitchener Centre. The vote splitting is cause #1 there, but it really looks like Mike didn't grow his voting base over the last few years. That's a surprise to me because he genuinely seems like the hardest working guy in Parliament - and I can't help but add this to my list of footnotes about how working hard and being a genuine person really doesn't matter in politics. You won't get electorally rewarded for it, so why bother?

I'm disappointed about Cambridge, "Convoy" Connie is yet another local no-show at debates but it was relatively close by the end of the night. Bryan May is by all accounts a nice guy.

That anti-covid guy in KSH is just something I don't even want to talk about.

Truly disappointed in the voters of Cambridge/ KSH, two of really bad Conservative candidates won ridings against Liberal incumbents when it was clear the liberals would form government.  I feel like Conestoga College's recent immigration policy might have caused our Region to flip to the conservatives.  The vote split clearly hurt Mike, not sure how people in that riding would pick party over candidate, but unfortunately I don't like in KC anymore.  

This result means we can basically kiss receiving and federal funds for the Cambridge LRT goodbye. It all but guaranteed that we won't see phase 2 of the LRT for at least another 5 years, my prediction is we are still taking cambridge LRT in 10 years.
