Even if no one is perfect, some are further from perfection than others.
100% agreed with this.

The idea that all politicians are equally corrupt works to the benefit of the worst, most corrupt politicians. How are the much less corrupt ones supposed to get elected if one of their main benefits is not believed? Believing that all politicians are equally corrupt is not an even-handed point of view; it is in reality a pro-corruption view.

I guess it depends on who you're sympathetic to. Pierre Poilievre is most likely going to win given that the Liberals/NDP have been speed running the decline of the country. If we somehow re-elect them, then lol I hope someone just nukes us. Take us out of our misery already.

Pierre Poilievre is an idiot. He has no plan other than the tired conservative obsession that things would be better if we could all stop paying taxes.

Indisputable, but unfortunately does not mean he is not most likely to win.

We won't know that until we see his election platform. Assuming he feels the need to have one.

I don't disagree he's an idiot, but so are all the rest. The Liberals and recently the NDP have utterly destroyed this country in the time they've had recent power. This place is a disaster and the whole damn planet laughs at us now. 4 more years of the Liberals would be awful, not to mention with Singh thrown into the mix. That guy is even dumber and a total cuck, assuming he isn't just taking orders from handlers at the Secretariat in New Dehli.
For the first time in my life I will be choosing to vote Conservative. Not because I support Pierre or anything remotely economically or socially conservative, but rather to simply destabilize the system in any manner possible until it breaks and we have to rebuild it. I'd advocate for political violence akin to what Georges Sorel wrote about in his philosophy, but we've built a system designed to keep us oppressed from doing even that. The next best thing, then, is to work to burn it all down.

Why would he disclose his election platform when an election has not yet been called?
Yes, typically things are always better when the government's hands aren't in your pocket - always reminded of the great Thomas Sowell quote - "What exactly is your 'fair share' of what 'someone else' has worked for?"
My goodness have we become a welfare state...

“We have become a welfare state”
Or, and stay with me here, in as much as “welfare state” means anything, it means we have a strong social safety net, and we have had that for decades and it has been decaying for years.
But that’s only the reality, nothing to do with the vibes that everyone makes their decisions based on.
Honestly it’s exhausting dealing with vibes that are so detached from reality.

I'm not quite convinced that the whole damn planet is laughing at us when you look at what is going on in the other developed countries. US, UK, Japan, Korea, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands ... need I go on? All have their own problems, and I do think many are in worse shape than we are. And that's not even considering the various totalitarian countries.
And, even if the world is laughing at us, I still prefer Canada to most of the alternatives.

Since affordable housing costs about $300k a unit these days, you really don’t pay enough tax for a bill that large…

Our whole economy is structured to enrich a small percentage of the population, rather than serving the needs of everone.
