King-Victoria Transit Hub

One notable addition from previous renderings, there's now a second tunnel under the platforms that leads right into the main hall. Previously access to the further platform was only via the tunnel that linked to the bus area, and it had no inside access from the station building. One downgrade however is that there is no longer a public door facing King St, all access is from the plaza on the Victoria St-facing side of the building. Oddly I can see there is a private corridor that leads to a door on that side, but unfortunately no access for the public.

Is the retail space a new addition?   I thought the absence of a coffee shop/convenience store was a major shortcoming of the original design.

Yes, it wasn't in the original plan. I just didn't mention it specifically because news that it had been added leaked months ago.

Some interesting features are ghosted out (presumably on a different layer of the plans):
Behind the ticket area (ground level):
- a Quiet Room and a Lost & Found Room of equal size.
- the office space is also labeled "Hoteling space"

In the second floor space:
- programmable area to the right of the elevators
- "Tourist Area", likely where a wall of brochures or an information booth might sit
- the "Community Room" was possibly formerly named "Meeting Room"

The plaza appears to show a variety of chairs and tables but they aren't depicted in the rendering.

Looking at the plans, I think there is less than a 100m walk from the end of the bridge retaining wall to the Victoria-facing entrance. From the LRT stop, it should be less than 50m, so not really a problem, I think.
