They have massive oil profits and spend it on extravagant luxury developments rather than utilitarian housing for people who aren't rolling in cash.

Dubai is not impressive to me at all. More money than sense, and makes North America look like downtown Berlin when it comes to walkability.

I would never look to Dubai to find nice looking architecture. I would however look to Scandinavian cities that build similar scaled building to us, but with much nicer masing. 

I was so excited 15 years ago for all the urban growth that was finally going to happen in our Region and somehow we ended up with a constant stream of shit developments with 1 or 2 nice looking building sprinkled in. It should have been the other way around, the odd shit looking building would have been completely manageable, but this is getting absolutely ridiculous.

They are working on the 7th and final floor for Building A. (The podium along Courtland for Building A is 5 stories. Building B will be the same.) Building B has been at 2 stories for a while, and Building C is at 3 stories. (To be 8 stories).
Edit: I was looking on the documents on the city's website and I found that there was a newer one switching which was Building A and which was Building B.  Apparently, the one along Palmer is Building B and the one at Kent is Building A.

Just a correction but all 3 of the buildings are supposed to be 9 floors and have building permits for that height. So there's still a bit to go on them.

They also look pretty similar to the renderings all things considered, identical no, but similar yes.

If I have some time later this week I may venture over this way and get some drone shots of this.

At least one has a bit of colour. The red "brick" should look ok. I wish they had made the grey one with yellow "brick" similar to the Scott as a nod to all the yellow brick buildings the region use to have. 

I hope the towers looks better than these mid-rise structures.
