I think what they mean is that GrandLinq still has work to do in this area that doesn't involve full closures so where can they put the stops so they aren't constantly shifting around for temporary closures. It may just be easier for GRT, simpler for users, and allow GrandLinq to work faster for the busses to stay on the detour a little longer to provide consistency.

Ok, good point. If it has to do with the remaining construction staging then it’s legitimate. If it’s “where o where shall we put our permanent stops” then it’s ridiculous and incompetent (not sure whose incompetence, but definitely somebody’s).

Ehhhh... not happy about that, but assumed that the panel below the headlights would get painted:

I too assumed that the way they extended the side strip down (compared to the original render), was done to align nicely with the panel below the light bar being painted blue to carry the design feature around the front. Would be curious to see what this looks like, perhaps someone with Photoshop skills can feed my curiosity with a mock up ? If it turns out this looks better, maybe tweet out a comparison of current vs mock up to Tom Galloway, see what he says. I know changes are bad at this point, but at least its a separate part which would be painted fully in blue - no masking or fixturing really needed. Odds are Bombardier, wants to maximize the common parts between Crosstown and Ion (1 front piece panted grey vs some blue and some green).

How much of King St is open right now? Does this include King between William and Union?

That has been open for many weeks (not including the William St. intersection). However, the traffic lights were still inactivated, with stop signs in place, as of yesterday afternoon.

The blue front band looks nice. But, if the plain front band we have is identical to the plain front band on other systems, it means the most commonly replaced impact feature (LRT running into vehicles) is now a single common colour/type, instead of a different colour for every system they use worldwide.

What about some blue "vehicle wrap" material for our trains?  This is no different that the white door panels added to the all blue police cruisers....

I was just thinking on the completion level of the rail network and there are very few gaps remaining, if I'm not mistaken.

-King street at the grade separation

-Frederick, King to Duke

-Hanson Avenue

The KCI crossover is in place even if it hasn't been fully welded. Any other spots I've missed?
