It looks like I was both wrong because the crane base is on the slab that is yet to be poured. I Don't see another crane base for the slab that is already poured.

Steady stream of cement trucks from 5:00am this morning until at least 3:00pm, if not longer.

They picked the right weather for it too - concrete cures best out of direct sun and when it's a bit damp.

Funny, the exact thing was going on at the new apartment on Homer Watson today. With all the devices that fill in the cement (I have no idea the actual name) it looks like a giant spider as they were all in the same location pretty much. Some attention from the local taking their children to watch the activity. I was glad to see the parents taking their children outside and to watch how the world grows and expands in a city environment -- better than Nintendo any day.
And to be honest, I have never seen anything like this before. I am wishing I would have asked my daughter to snap a picture...oh well.

There was a bit of chaos in the neighbourhood today. Between the cement trucks blocking Cameron at times and Duke between Cameron and Cedar being closed for a place making project. Some pretty frustrated drivers.
