Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | completed
From the Encyclopedia Britannica:

Quote:The term skyscraper originally applied to buildings of 10 to 20 stories, but by the late 20th century the term was used to describe high-rise buildings of unusual height, generally greater than 40 or 50 stories.

This building is visible from practically everywhere. While walking at Williamsburg Cemetery I quickly took this shot. My apologies for the digital zoom.

Yeah, digital zooms suck bad...LOL.

You can see DTK from Franklyn and 401 in Cambridge. It clearly stands out.

Kind of have the feeling that my Pixel 4a does some fancy stuff to make digital zoom look a bit better. But I still prefer optical.

I have a 4a - I think it has two lens/cameras and one is optimized for 2x zoom. Maybe that makes a difference?

The view down Benton/Fredrick now from the top of the hill.

How many more floors do we have to go? Looks like we're close to 39.

Single rear facing camera, optimized using software: https://m.gsmarena.com/google_pixel_4a-r...2148p5.php

I believe they're starting on the last floor now, and then presumably there's a mech penthouse

I noticed the last time the crane was raised that it was fairly high with a clearance higher than what is required to complete 39 floors.  Last week a video was posted on one of threads on WRC that showed the presenter stating that DTK is to be 41 floors.  Were two floors added some where along the way?

You can search building permits at https://onlinepermits.kitchener.ca/porta...space=test , DTK is 60 Frederick St. The last building permit is for 39 floors, and there's no application in progress for an addition. So I'm pretty confident it's still 39.

The Charlie West crane also looked far too tall on its final raise, but it seems like that's normal. Mechanical penthouses are often really tall.

Could be 41 floors including mechanical.

City Hall is 12 floors, and not 10, like many believe. The elevator goes up to 10th floor. You walk up to 11th floor. Once on that floor, you can access the 12th floor. But for all intents and purposes, city hall is 10 floors. (though there are washrooms, shower and lunch room on the 11th floor).

Could it be 41 floors of residential and the city hasn't updated? Maybe. Guess we'll find out by June.

There is no accessible route to the top 2 floors at all? That seems strange.

Maybe it does have 41 floors but I can’t see this increasing the listed height of 127.xx. Although a lot of height zealots would like that (including me)?
