A certain proportion of these units are going to be sold to people intending to rent them out, so they might read “Just 350m from Google!” and be enticed by the prospect of good-quality tenants.
Plus, people generally get excited about things like that. I’ve heard a few of my neighbours comment positively about Google’s moving to the neighbourhood, even though they don’t stand to benefit in any significant way- they’re not planning on selling, don’t run businesses in the neighbourhood. But maybe it reflects well on the area or its prospects- probably not, but people get excited about it, anyway.
I do notice the difference in balconies. Kind of strange. The design looks good to me, though, I’m hoping they get started building it!
