Transport costs are a big factor. The company Auburn is using for this is in Brant, ON, a little less than a 1h drive away.

I am fairly sure the building industry has advanced since 1968.

It was addressed in the 1970 revision to the Canadian Building Code. Smile

Incidentally, sloppy construction played a big part in the Ronan Point collapse.

 I love the original building, and assumed the new one would be a copy since it had the same name... I was very disappointed when I went back in this thread to find the renders.
