Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | completed
I was in DTK (downtown Kitchener) today and noticed the crane for DTK (Duke Tower Kitchener) was operating. So that's a good sign.

if you look on the blue part of the crane in the last pictures that JGSZ posted it says dominion if that helps at all.

Dominion is the name of the concrete forming trade, so I guess it's not a rental.  http://www.dominionforming.com/home.html

Today they used a mobile concrete placing boom instead of the more permanent boom.  I have no idea why they would do that.

It probably has something to do with the positioning of the placing boom. To get to that corner you have the tower crane to deal with but when the actual tower starts you don't need that corner as that corner is just podium. So they won't need to reach that corner.

The building is one floor above grade on the Duke Street side yes.

The entire first floor of the podium is yet to be finished tho. I suspect what we see right now is close to what the footprint of the building that rises above the podium will be

If I was the developer, I would not put my entrance or exit near the LRT track, just make both on the Frederick side.

Update.  Work continues on two levels.  Only the basement is fully covered.  The ground floor is still open on the north side. They are putting up walls for the second floor on the Duke Street side.
